Packaging is more than presentation. It connects the approved product, the information supplied to the market and the cartons received at destination. A structured review helps prevent avoidable changes late in production.
Check information hierarchy first
Confirm the product name, model or size, quantity, lot and date fields, storage information and the responsible company details required for the intended market. The same naming should appear across the specification, artwork and commercial documents.
Translations and distributor information should be reviewed as content, not only as graphic elements. A visually polished label can still create problems when terminology is inconsistent.
Review every packaging level
Approval should cover the unit pack, inner box and shipping carton where applicable. Confirm packing quantities, barcode placement, carton marks and dimensions so the final logistics plan reflects the approved configuration.
For products supplied in multiple variants, make sure color, size or model identification remains clear at each level of packaging.
Create one controlled approval record
Keep the final artwork, revision number and approval date together with the corresponding product specification. This gives purchasing, production and quality teams one reference point and helps prevent an older file from returning to the workflow.
